A Powerful Day of Connection at the CHQ Lovin’ Care Event

What an uplifting and inspiring day we had at the Children’s Homes Quality (CHQ) Lovin’ Care Event! On Friday, the bMindful Psychology team was proud to exhibit at the CHQ gathering, held at the iconic Midland Hotel in Manchester.

This vibrant and thoughtfully curated event brought together professionals, care providers, and advocates from across the UK, each one deeply committed to improving outcomes for children and young people in residential care. We’re incredibly grateful to Children’s Homes Quality and director Valerie Tulloch for creating such a positive, energising space for learning, sharing, and connecting with providers in the children’s residential sector.

The day sparked powerful conversations around the value of relationship-based care, the healing power of emotional connection, and the vital need for trauma informed therapeutic approaches for looked after children in residential childcare. These themes reflect the core values that guide everything we do at bMindful Psychology.

We are proud to support children, young people, and the dedicated professionals who care for them through a wide range of psychological and therapeutic services. Our work includes one to one therapy, autism assessments, specialist psychological support for looked after children, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and training and consultation for residential and foster care teams.

Whether delivering neurodevelopment or psychological assessments, providing individual or creative therapies, offering tailored autism support, or collaborating with care teams through clinical consultation, staff training, and therapeutic input -our mission is always the same - to ensure every child receives compassionate, trauma informed, and evidence-based care tailored to their unique needs.

We left the CHQ event feeling deeply encouraged by the shared commitment to loving, mindful care in residential settings. There is clearly a growing movement rooted in kindness, connection, and the belief that every child deserves to be truly seen, heard, and supported.
